What Information We Collect
Our server site recognizes and collects, when possible, the domain name (for example, abc.com) of a visitor's web server; however, we do not automatically collect the full e-mail addresses of visitors to our site.  The only way we obtain personally identifiable information is if you provide it voluntarily and explicitly, in locations such as:

  • On a class registration form
  • On a survey or feedback form
  • When you order a product

Through the above forms or requests, or similar others, visitors may be asked to furnish personal information such as name, address, phone numbers and/or e-mail address.  Some customers may also provide opinions, details about needs, or other information relevant to customer surveys, requests for future products, and/or offers.

Unless provided by you, Year For Change LLC cannot access any personal information from your visit to our web site.

  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes, which you may decline.  We would contact you via the information you provided such as Email, phone, fax or mailing address

Year For Change LLC stores your information only on the host server site and our internal, secure records.

In some cases, we may collect information about you that is not personally identifiable.  We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.  The information collected is stored on our password-protected host server account and/or internal records, is used solely for internal review, and is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.

Use of Cookies and Web Beacons
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive.  Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site.  Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual.  The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

Our host site uses traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used.  This helps us analyze data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs.  We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not.  A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies.  Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer.  This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.

A web beacon is a transparent image file used to monitor your journey around a single website or collection of sites.  They are also referred to as web bugs and are commonly used by sites that hire third-party services to monitor traffic.  They may be used in association with cookies to understand how visitors interact with the pages and content on the pages of a website.

We may serve third-party advertisements that use cookies and web beacons in the course of ads being served on our website to ascertain how many times you've seen an advertisement.

No personally identifiable information you give us is provided to them for cookie or web beacon use, so they cannot personally identify you with that information on our website.

Some third-party advertisements may be provided by Google, which uses cookies to serve ads.  Google uses the DART cookie, which enables it to serve ads to our users based on their visits to this site and other sites on the Web.  You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the "http://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html" Google ad and content network privacy policy.

Browsers can be set to accept or reject cookies or notify you when a cookie is being sent.  Privacy software can be used to override web beacons.  Taking either of these actions shouldn't cause a problem with our site, should you so choose.

Special Notes for Parents, Families, and Educators
This website is directed to adults; it is not directed to children under the age of 13.  Year For Change LLC shares your concern about the protection of online privacy for children as website visitors.  We do not knowingly or purposefully collect personally identifiable information through our website from children under age 13.

We do, however, serve parents, families and educators of young children.  Please be aware that because this website is electronic, has an off-site server, and does not provide encryption, it is not secure for transmission of privileged or confidential information.  We therefore strongly recommend that you not send any confidential or privileged information using this website or any other non-secure electronic means.  Examples of this kind of information would be your child or student’s name, health history, or disability type.  Communications using this website are generally intended to be brief and omit these types of details.  If you feel you must refer to someone in your communication, choose a name substitute such as a random letter of the alphabet.  Because we cannot avoid receiving information which we do not request, compliance with the above is the responsibility of the adults who use our site.  We cannot guarantee security of any privileged or confidential information sent using or through this site or its Email.

If you or your children are therapy clients, electronic communications between us which contain confidential or privileged information are typically printed and will become part of your Clinical Record.  These will be stored and protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy pertaining to client records, which will be provided to you when you become a therapy client.
